Boxing pear

The installation "Boxing pear" was part of "10x5x3" exhibition and the curatorial project “Painting Machines - antagonisms of abstract production”. It was thought in general as a reflection of the history of art throughout the second half of 20th century and in particular, as a mode of manipulating the paint. Since Jackson Pollock was using a brush/bucket to drip paint on a canvas and Yves Klein was using bodies as painting tools, then I used a freshly painted boxing pear against the white cotton and linen blouses that I was dressed in.
All the evidence of this symbolic boxing performance was carefully collected by me and unified in a successive installation (represented in the photos above).
